To Our Patients,
It’s our pleasure to inform you that Fulton Family Health Associates plans to join University of Missouri Health Care and the MU School of Medicine, effective Dec. 7, 2017.
For our patients, the change should be seamless. Fulton Family Health Associates will remain in our same location with the same team of physicians and health professionals you have come to know and trust.
The new affiliation means our doctors also will have privileges at University Hospital, MU Women’s and Children’s Hospital and other MU Health Care hospitals, and that will give our patients additional hospital choices. In addition, our patients will still be free to utilize any health provider or hospital of their choice.
As an academic health center, MU Health has a mission of advancing the health of all Missourians through clinical care, teaching and research. Fulton Family Health Associates shares those goals. Our decision to affiliate with MU Health is the result of our mutual goal of expanding access to health care. The closing of Fulton Medical Center was not a factor in our decision.
We consider this to be a model for integrating health care resources to better serve patients, while preserving the historic strengths of the university and community physicians providing the care.

Fulton Family Health Associates was founded in 1996 by Drs. Robert and Lisa Pierce with the aim of providing high quality family medical care to the people of Fulton, Missouri and surrounding areas.
The providers in our practice, Drs. Robert and Lisa Pierce and Dr. Brice Windsor, are board-certified in the specialty of Family Medicine. Ashlea Horstman, PA-C, is a broadly trained physician assistant in Family Medicine. Each of our providers are qualified to deliver medical care across the entire spectrum of ages and diseases.
Fulton Family Health Associates uses the latest technology to continually improve the care provided across the practice through the use of electronic prescribing, an electronic medical record, patient portal, and regular performance assessments. We strive to consistently provide the best possible care for each of our patients.
